I am an experienced product leader, focused on solving problems with socioeconomic impact. I'm passionate about building products that educate and inform people's decision making, especially through data storytelling.
Currently, I am Head of Product at Stears, a startup that provides high quality data and insights on Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa. Previously, I worked as a product manager in New York City’s government, creating interactive data storytelling products that make government open data more useful and accessible to the public.
Additionally, I have a strong background in data analytics, data viz, urban planning, public policy, global development, and environmental issues. Through my previous experience trying to solve big problems in the world, I gained an appreciation for the important role of data and technology in helping people make informed decisions.
In my free time, I paint and do embroidery.
My abstract, acrylic paintings and embroidery draw inspiration from things I've always been attracted to: landscapes, organic forms, minerals, maps, and mosaics. I combine those influences in colorful and metallic compositions. Living in the hectic environments of New York City and Lagos, Nigeria, I have enjoyed creating order and balance in constellations of shapes.
